A CAR normally brings together who is doing the work, where it is happening, what will be affected, when it will happen and what supporting traffic management information is attached. Councils and RCAs use this to decide whether the corridor can be accessed safely and what conditions apply.
The CAR is the access request pathway and the WAP is usually the permit outcome or work authority pathway. The TMP, dates and work description need to line up across both. If the TMP changes after the WAP is issued, the WAP may also need updating.
