Council road-corridor form pathway

Waikato District Council says CARs and TMPs are needed when an activity on or near the road, road corridor or road reserve may affect safety, traffic volumes, traffic flow or access. The Council page points contractors to the TMP form, temporary road-closure form, Road Openings Coordinator and network controls corridor engineers.

NZGTTM transition and current CoPTTM processing

The Council's working-on-the-road page says Waikato District is transitioning toward NZGTTM in alignment with NZTA direction, while current TMPs continue to be reviewed and processed in accordance with CoPTTM until further guidance is given.

Rural, township and growth-area contrast

Waikato District work can move from rural high-speed roads and stock movements to Ngaaruawaahia, Huntly, Raglan, Tuakau, Te Kauwhata, Pookeno and Horotiu frontage. Those environments need different access, pedestrian, heavy-vehicle and delay assumptions.

Current roadworks and state-highway split

Waikato District publishes planned local roadworks that may cause significant delays or detours, while NZTA maintains state highways in the district and directs state-highway roadworks checks through the Journey Planner.

Livestock, underpasses and vehicle entranceways

Council guidance says moving livestock on or across roads requires a permit and TMP, stock underpasses may need Council approval and building consent, and rural entranceway culverts are usually the property owner's responsibility.

Ngaaruawaahia, Council Chambers, Galileo Street and Waikato River bridges

Waikato District Council lists its head office at 15 Galileo Street in Ngaaruawaahia, and the Council events page includes roading subcommittee and public meeting activity at Council Chambers.

Huntly, Main Street, Riverside Rooms, Russell Road and Caesar Roose / Baker Street

Council roadworks pages list Watercare and watermain activity on Huntly Russell Road, James Henry Crescent, Caesar Roose Place and Baker Street, while the events page lists Huntly Community Board meetings at the Riverside Rooms / Civic Centre on Main Street.

Raglan / Whaaingaroa, Bow Street, Cliff Street, surf beaches and summer visitor routes

Council describes Raglan / Whaaingaroa as a harbour and surf destination with events, cafes, beaches and summer visitor numbers that can lift the town population by around 300 to 400 percent; current roadworks also show Raglan Cliff Street activity.

Pookeno, Helenslee Road, Munro Road and subdivision growth

Council's current-roadworks page lists a long closure around Pookeno Helenslee Road and Munro Road for an intersection upgrade associated with a new subdivision.

Horotiu, Great South Road, AFFCO, Horotiu Road and Te Kowhai approaches
